Welcome to Lively District Secondary School
We would like to respectfully acknowledge that Lively District Secondary School is located in the Robinson-Huron Treaty area. We would also like to recognize all of the Anishinaabek of this territory and the local traditional lands of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek.
Lively District Secondary School offers programming for students in Grades 7 to 12. We are committed to fostering the intellectual, social, physical and emotional growth of young people.
We offer a variety of programs to suit a range of talents and interests. We value a respect for individual differences, a desire to promote personal growth with the acceptance of responsibility and a goal to foster excellence.

Ready to apply? It has never been easier, just follow the steps below.
- Complete the RDSB Secondary Registration Form
- Rainbow Grade 8 students - Complete the Grade 9 Course Selections in myBlueprint
- Non-Rainbow Grade 8 students - Complete Lively’s Grade 9 Option Sheet
- Elementary (Grade 7&8) applicants-Complete the RDSB Elementary Registration Form
- Photocopy / Scan / Forward a copy of your latest June Report Card.
- Upon receipt of your February Report Card, please photocopy / scan / forward this to us and we will add it to your application package.
- Please forward all documents to harrisl@rainbowschools.ca or drop them off in person at Lively District Secondary School.
Specialized Programs

InIT (Innovative Integrated Technology) Applicants:
- Engage yourself in innovative ways to integrate technology within the learning environment
- Explore multiple technology programs in all years of secondary school
- Receive FREE busing from anywhere in the Greater City of Sudbury
AP (Advanced Placement) Applicants:
- Enrichment opportunities in the following subject areas: English, History, Math, and Science
- Possible accreditation for First Year University credits upon successful completion
Specialist High Skills Major Applicants:
- Available for Grade 11 and 12 students
